1. What we collect

We collect the minimum needed to run a per-server bounty board:
  • From Discord, via OAuth2when you sign in to the web app: your Discord user ID, username, display name, avatar, email (if you grant the “email” scope), and the list of Discord servers you're in.
  • From the bot, in servers where it's installed: channel and role IDs you map to bounty functions, the user IDs of members who interact with bounties, member-server membership facts (admin? moderator?), and message IDs the bot has posted.
  • From you, when you act: bounties you create (titles, target names, aliases, rewards, descriptions), proof screenshots you submit, optional Activision/COD name + ID for verification, and your participation history (kills, streaks, credits, rejections, points).
We do not collect message content from non-DogTags channels, and we don't track members in servers where the bot isn't installed.

2. How we use it

  • To operate the bounty board you signed up for — render embeds, score AI evaluations, run leaderboards, gate posting credits.
  • To send you Discord DMs when a moderator approves or rejects your submission, if your server has that toggle enabled.
  • To detect spam, abuse, and bot kicks so we can reconcile state.
  • We do not sell your data, run advertising against it, or share it with third parties for marketing.

3. Where it lives

  • AWS DynamoDB in the EU (eu-west-1 by default) stores all per-guild and per-user records.
  • AWS S3 stores proof screenshots, fronted by CloudFront so the Discord embed has a stable URL. Screenshots expire after 90 days unless your server admin changes the retention policy.
  • AWS Bedrock(Anthropic Claude) processes the screenshot to extract the dog-tag text. Bedrock does not store prompts or images for training under AWS's data-handling policy.

4. How long we keep it

  • Active server data (bounties, submissions, leaderboard) is kept as long as the bot is installed in the server. If the bot is removed, data is preserved for re-install but not actively used.
  • Proof screenshots auto-expire after 90 days.
  • Auth sessions expire 30 days after last activity.
  • Account deletion requests (see below) remove all your personal identifiers within 30 days.

5. Sharing

We share data with:
  • Discord, every time the bot reads guild state or sends a message — this is the platform we run on.
  • AWS, our infrastructure provider (DynamoDB, S3, Bedrock, CloudFront). They process the data on our behalf under their standard data-protection agreements.
  • Server members of the guilds you're in, insofar as your in-guild stats (display name, kills, points, verified Activision name if you submitted one) are visible on the per-server leaderboard and bounty embeds. We don't expose your email, your Discord ID, or any cross-guild data to other members.

6. Cookies

We set a small number of HTTP cookies for authentication (Auth.js session, CSRF token). No third-party analytics, no advertising cookies, no tracking pixels.

7. Your rights

You can:
  • Accessthe data we hold on you — reach out via the official DogTags.gg Discord support server (link in section 10) from the Discord account on file and we'll send you a JSON export.
  • Correct any field — re-run /verify in Discord for the Activision name; for anything else, reach out via support.
  • Deleteyour account — open a support request and we'll wipe your profile, leaderboard rows, and verification record from every guild within 30 days. Proof screenshots you uploaded stay attributable to your submission row until they expire on the 90-day schedule.
  • Objectto a specific use — open a support request with what and why, and we'll respond within a reasonable timeframe.

8. Children

DogTags.gg is not intended for users under 13 (or older where local law sets a higher minimum, e.g. 16 in some EU jurisdictions). If we learn we've collected data from a user below that age, we delete it.

9. Changes

We may update this policy when features change or laws shift. We'll change the “Last updated” date at the top. If the change is material, we'll announce it via the bot's configured #logs channel where possible.

10. Contact

Privacy questions or data-rights requests: reach out via the official DogTags.gg Discord support server (linked from the bot's profile on Discord and from this site's footer once published).
